IN MY OWN WORDS

Petra's story

I am stepping up in this provincial election because B.C.'s prosperous future is at stake. We need strong, experienced leadership to bring this province together and build something better for all of us.

Vancouver-Quilchena has been my home for 40 years. I grew up in Dunbar and attended Southlands and Point Grey, and my husband John Maiorini and I raised our children, Gabe and Annika, here. It is home to all of us, and we dislike the divisive polarization that has taken hold in our community.

My career as a Senior Vice President at Vancity and 25 years at Accenture taught me how to manage complex business challenges, deliver multi-million-dollar projects, and build teams with a relentless focus on delivering results.

As a community builder, I know the important work our non-profits do. As Board Chair of MOSAIC, one of Canada's largest settlement and employment service organizations for newcomers, and a board member of a provincially funded long-term care home, I know how to work with Crown agencies, ministries and health authorities. My contributions have been recognized by the Lieutenant Governor with the King Charles III Coronation Medal for community service.

"In an NDP or Conservative minority government, we will be the adults in the room."

I will bring my experience, energy and commitment to ensure a stable, prosperous future for our children. I am running for CentreBC to help provide a pragmatic, centrist alternative to the extreme left and right parties. We will take steps to return to a balanced budget, cut government bureaucracy and grow the economy, while protecting the services people rely on. In an NDP or Conservative minority government, we will be the adults in the room, with the power to force balanced dialogue and block extreme, ideological policies.

History has shown us that when B.C. is governed from the centre, we always thrive. For 30 years, this riding had a proud tradition of sending moderate, experienced leaders to Victoria. I am running because I believe we can make change happen in B.C. If you believe in that too, I am asking you to consider voting for me: not for a party, and not as a strategic vote.

With gratitude,

Petra Kuret

WHY I RUN?

Because you deserve a real choice.

Like you, I want B.C. and our community to reach its full potential. We have it all: talented people, natural beauty, abundant resources and the gateway to Asia-Pacific markets. And you want change.

It is not vote splitting when you vote FOR someone, not AGAINST someone. You get to make your choice about the future of Vancouver-Quilchena and B.C. on October 24.

Business leader. Community builder. Neighbour.

WORKING FOR A BETTER B.C.

Petra's priorities

A stronger economy

Grow the revenue base that funds the services we rely on. Cut unnecessary bureaucracy.

Healthcare you can count on

Better access to medical services with shorter waits. Care for seniors where they want.

Making life more affordable

Well-paying jobs. Building more homes, faster, that people can afford.

A future for the next generation

Balance the budget so our kids inherit opportunity, not debt. Transparency.

What are your priorities?

This time, you have a choice.

We are at the centre of a perfect storm: a trade war, divisive politics, cost of living pressures, and weak economic growth. I can't sit on the sidelines. Nor can you. Our community can elect a moderate voice.

I am "all in" to fight for British Columbians. We all are.
